Alcohol Review brings unusually long experience in providing effective online forums for alcohol harm experts (see timeline below). It began in 2020 with an event providing advance warning of the surge in alcohol deaths that was to come, a warning which sadly went unheeded. Successive events brought attention the unique South African perspective to the prevention of alcohol harm during the covid crisis. Later events explored alcohol and mental health, alcohol in the media and the nuances of the moderation versus non-drinking discussion. It is now time to harness these benefits again.
