Alcohol Review’s annual live online event, AR2026, looked at the impact AI will have on global efforts to reduce alcohol harm. Participants heard from Nataly Bovopoulos, PhD, of Australia’s Alcohol and Drug Foundation on the pros and cons of bots in delivering alcohol information and from Professor Kathryn Backholer of Deakin University on the use of AI to monitor ads, before a moderated discussion of the topic.

AR2026 Extra: In the following short video session Marleen Kestens from the European Heart Network gave a spotlight session highlighting the risks to cardiovascular health ■
